Tour this special olfactory apothecary cabinet at the Rijksmuseum

Now that we cannot visit museums physically we can at least take a look behind the scenes. At the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam) an 18th century apothecary cabinet still houses seeds, wood and resins in secret drawers and were once used as medicines. Surprisingly, the contents are still fragrant. Caro Verbeek and the Rijksmuseum invited several perfumers to sniff out the odorous resins in the depot.

    Groet,

Fantastic that the Odeuropa project has been launched! Fortunately, after a week of being out of my corona quarantine, I can distinguish some odor again! I hope that the sand scents of the Netherlands will also be included in the project. Especially higher sandy soils in NL, the beautiful yellow sand, smells delicious and will always have had that smell!
    Greeting,
    Nienke
