NOSE happily congratulates Asifa Majid for winning prestigious Humboldt Research Award!
Professor Asifa Majid of the Department of Experimental Psychology at Oxford University (UK) has been awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Award by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The Humboldt Research Award is given to internationally recognised researchers in recognition of their entire academic record to date.
Asifa was one of the founding mothers of NOSE. And has a special interest in olfaction. Her research focuses on the psychology of language and how this relates to other areas of cognition. In particular, she has worked on olfactory language, and on the (non-)universality of word meanings across cultures.
